Educational Councils Workshop Launched in Gadarif with Support from UNICEF & AVDO

Gadarif State – August 24, 2025

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Guidance in Gadarif State, and with funding from UNICEF, the African Vision for Development Organization has launched a training workshop for educational councils, including parent-teacher associations and community leaders.

The training was officially opened with the presence of:

1. The representative of the Minister of Education and Guidance
2. Mr. Mohamed Adam Abdullah, Director General of Basic Education
3. Dr. Zahra Abdullah, Humanitarian Aid Commissioner in Gadarif
4. Mr. Al-Din Yahya Farah, Director of Training and Capacity Building
5. Dr. Abdel-Baqi Idris, Director of the African Vision for Development in Gadarif
6. Ms. Fawzia Ibrahim Al-Samani, Training Director at Musa Center

The workshop targets 45 participants from West Gallabat and Central Gadarif localities, and is held from August 24 to 26, 2025, at the Training Center Hall.

The sessions, led by Dr. Adel Abdullah Idris and Mr. Taj Al-Sir Al-Amin, focus on the role of parent-teacher councils and community leaders in supporting the educational process and enhancing school-community collaboration.
