African Vision Organization Concludes Youth and Out-of-School Students Registration Program Funded by UNICEF in Al-Faw

Today, the African Vision Organization, in collaboration with UNICEF, held a celebration at the Eastern Girls Primary School to mark the conclusion of its program for identifying and registering youth and children who are out of school. The event was attended by Dr. Mohamed Aboudi, representative of the Executive Director of Al-Faw Locality, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Rashid, Director of the Primary Education Stage, Mr. Malik Khidr, Director of Adult Education, Mr. Abubakar Abdelqader, representative of the organization, and Mr. Al-Nazir Mohamed Ahmed, Commissioner of the African Vision Organization.

The program began with recitations from the Holy Quran and included several student performances. The representative of the Executive Director praised the efforts of the African Vision Organization, a partner of UNICEF, in carrying out this initiative. He emphasized that providing educational opportunities to these youth is vital for human development and highlighted the significant services UNICEF provides to education through its partners across Sudan. He added that the celebration at the Eastern Girls Primary School symbolized a broader acknowledgment of all schools in the locality for this remarkable occasion.

A representative of the African Vision Organization stated that the program, funded by UNICEF, aims to identify out-of-school youth and children and offer them support to continue their education. He described this initiative as one of the many programs UNICEF funds through its partnership with the African Vision Organization to ensure youth and children have access to education.

The Director of Adult Education commended the program, emphasizing its support for adult education and its importance in fostering lifelong learning. Similarly, the Director of Primary Education in the state lauded the African Vision Organization and UNICEF for their significant efforts to address the issue of out-of-school youth and children.

Ms. Ikhlas Al-Haj Mohamed Ahmed, Director General of Education in the locality, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the education community. Mr. Mohamed Youssef Haj Omar, Chairperson of the Educational Councils in Al-Faw Locality, reaffirmed their readiness to support schools and provide all necessary facilities to maintain the locality’s leadership in education within the state and Sudan.

The celebration showcased the creativity and talents of the students, making it a memorable event for all participants.
