Environmental Sanitation Campaign Launched in Omdurman’s Umbadda to Remove War Debris

The African Vision for Development Organization, in collaboration with the Umbadda Locality, launched a wide-scale environmental sanitation campaign on the morning of Tuesday, September 30, 2025. The initiative aims to remove waste and debris left behind by the war and to help restore normalcy to the area.

Approximately 50 local volunteers actively participated in the campaign, which covered the stretch between Al-Sahrij Station and Wad Al-Bashir Station. Their dedicated efforts reflect a strong sense of community cooperation and civic responsibility.

This initiative forms part of ongoing collective community efforts to promote a healthy and safe environment, and serves as a starting point toward a brighter future following the significant challenges the region has endured.
