Training Workshop for 30 Teachers in Gedaref

The AVDO held a training workshop in Gedaref State. The program was funded by UNICEF and supervised by the Ministry of Education and Guidance. It was held at the Gedaref Training Center. Ms. Ayat Hussein from the Humanitarian Aid Commission attended the event.

The training was held under the slogan “Teach a Child.” It focused on child-centered teaching, alternative education, psychosocial support, and English language skills.

Several departments collaborated to make the workshop possible. These included the Training Directorate, the Core Unit, and the Department of Adult and Out-of-School Education.

Mr. Alamein Yahya Farah, Director of Training, addressed the participants. He praised the efforts of UNICEF and African Vision. He also stressed the Ministry’s commitment to quality training and skilled facilitators.

Mr. Taj Al-Sir Al-Amin, Director of the Core Unit, spoke about the workshop’s goals. He encouraged teachers to benefit from the shared knowledge and experiences.

Mr. Malik Al-Khidr Ibrahim, Director of Out-of-School Education, noted that this session builds on earlier training. It aims to enhance teachers’ practical skills and improve classroom outcomes.

Finally, Mr. Mahdi Abkar from AVDO said the program equips teachers with modern teaching techniques. These methods are expected to raise student performance in schools across the state.
