A smart and effective partnership between the Ministry of Education and Guidance in Gedaref State, UNICEF, and the African Vision for Development organization targeted 114 teachers across 57 centers. The initiative focused on training teachers in teaching methodologies, training 57 teachers as facilitators for mental health support, providing psychosocial support, and conducting orientation sessions on the prevention of sexual exploitation.

The program is scheduled from December 22 to December 27, 2024, covering the municipalities of Gedaref City, Al-Faw, Central Gedaref, and Western Galabat.
The program was addressed by Mr. Mohamed Adam Abdullah, representing the Director-General of the Ministry and Director of General Education Administration, Dr. Abdel-Baqi Idris, Director of the African Vision for Development organization in Gedaref State, Mr. Abdel-Aziz Al-Rasheed, Director of the Primary Education Department at the Ministry, Mr. Taj Al-Sir Al-Amin, Director of the Core Unit Administration at the Ministry, and Ms. Fawzia Ibrahim Al-Samani, Director of Training at the Training and Capacity Building Center of the Ministry of Education and Guidance.
All expressed their hopes that the teachers would benefit from this opportunity, which aims to enhance their skills and ultimately improve the educational process in Gedaref State.
