MISSION:
To bring our vision to action, AVDO will cooperate and coordinate with all active and positive actors from different communities, government bodies, and humanitarian agencies that share the same interests.
BACKGROUND:
African Vision for Development Organization (AVDO)) is a Sudanese nongovernmental national organization registered as humanitarian organization in Federal HAC in Khartoum State on 9th May 2021. AVDO is non-governmental, non-profitable. AVDO responses to humanitarian needs regardless to religion, race, or political affiliation. It is a charity whose vision is to promote the culture of peaceful coexistence between different communities to reach the stage of security, balanced development and services that preserve the right to live in dignity.
AVDO has staff that with long experiences in different areas of humanitarian work, in management, program, finance and other technical background. Taking the advantage of good relationship and networking with the local community in Darfur, the organization has taken steps to achieve the objectives of the organization, through communication and networking with different stakeholders in the government, HAC, UN agencies and international NGOs.
AVDO activities are mainly in food security and livelihoods, WASH, and education in addition to environment and women empowerment. GSD adopts strategies of effective community participation in all activities in recovery and development programs.
SOLIDAN CAMPAIGN
SOLIDAN is an informative and advocative campaign that was launched on January the 1st 2021 by GAAKT e. V. together with our partner organizations; International Crime Monitor and UMBAJA e. V. in cooperation with the Refugee Council in Lower Saxony and the Association for Development Politics in Lower Saxony in Solidarity with the people of Sudan, that seeks democratic transformation and stability in the country. We extend our appeal to African Vision for Development Organization, all freedom fighters, democracy supporters, and peacebuilders to join and support our campaign.

AVDO attended workshop on partnership development mechanism between local NGOs & Donors conducted by International Islamic Cooperation Organization on 31st of August 2021.
COVID 19 Awareness raising and distribution of 2,000 masks during Eid Alfitr celebration
To AVDO objectives in serving the community and achieving of its goals, AVDO participated today in Eid Al-Fitr event
organized by community leaders from Darfur at the Landmark resort on the bank of the River Nile adjacent to the University of Khartoum. The organization distributed 2,000 masks to family members who participated in the event. The event was a good opportunity to introduce the organization, to provide an awareness service about the dangers of the Corona pandemic, and to distribute 2,000 masks to the participants

AVDO is implementing the project: Provision of emergency protection assistance to conflict-affected individuals in Kerenik locality in West Darfur state in Sudan for purpose of reducing protection risks for war affected IDPs in Mornie and Kerenik towns, using community based protection approaches, formation and training of Community Based Protection Networks (CBPN), psychosocial support for women and children through establishment and support of Women Safe Spaces (WSS) and Child Safe Spaces (CSS). Supporting women in IGAs, community awareness raising and distribution of dignity kits for 400 women and girls targeting IDPs, host, nomads and returnees in Kerenik locality.

AVDO is implementing the project: Provision of emergency shelters and general NFIs for 1,500 IDPs HHs in Um Baru and Kornoi, Saraf Omra, and Tawila localities in North Darfur state. Provision of NFI for 1,500 HHs, and emergency shelters for 500 HHs from IDPs who displaced from Al-Fasher, Al-Dour, and Ourori because of the fighting between SAF and RSF
